Breed: Rottweiler mix
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Meet TYSON!!! Tyson is everything you could ask for in a canine companion! He is full of energy and love (especially for treats!) and he deserves a home where he can play, cuddle, and relax on a nice cool floor. Tyson is very easy to take care of - he is house trained and very obedient - he just wants to please you! He may not always understand what you're saying, but he is a very quick learner. He will follow you around with a big goofy grin on his face, and then plop down somewhere close by so he can keep an eye on things. He hasn't spent much time around other dogs while in foster care so he get's very excited when he sees a furry friend but once he calms down he has no problems getting along. If you want Tyson up on the couch or bed, he'll happily join you, but he will stay off with out putting up a fight. He is also a very good boy and doesn't beg while you're eating. He is about 7 years old, but doesn't show his age one bit. Even though he's been deprived of activity while being treated for heart worms, it's obvious that Tyson looooves to play. He is a big boy though and tires quickly. If you are looking for a smiley companion who will always be excited to see you, Tyson is your man! Tyson is still going through his heartworm treatment. Adoption fee: $250 If you are interested in adopting Tyson, please visit www.dooverdogs.com to fill out an application!

Home Visit

To finalize any adoption, our representatives conduct a home visit. The following may be helpful for your preparation.

Do you agree to an initial home visit as well as any needed follow-up visits with prior notice?

Quality of Life

Training Philosophy

We believe in only positive reinforcement we do not knowingly adopt our dogs to homes where short sighted, relationship harming techniques or methods are utilized, such as invisible or electric fences, choke or prong collars, electronic or bark collars. We recommend a harness for comfort and control, and can make one available to you. We deplore the use of de-barking as barbaric and cruel.

Would you be willing to complete suggested positive, relationship building training and education?

Do you agree to call us right away if there are any problems so that one of our behaviorists might assist you?

Commitment to Dog

Would your entire family / housemates be willing to participate in an interview?

Do you agree to pay an adoption fee as stated on the website and/or adoption contract?

The Do Over Dogs A Second Chance At Life will provide you with any and all records / information regarding the dog. Do you agree to hold us harmless in the event of any unknown information regarding this dog?

Do you agree to be responsible for this dog financially and medically, providing a lifetime home of love, safety and security?

Do you agree that this dog will be a family pet and not used for any other purpose?

Adoption Fee & Expenses

Our expenses per dog almost always exceed the adoption fee we request. At that time, if you would like to make an additional donation to help future dogs, we would gratefully accept it.
